Focus on FRENCH CINEMA Festival offers a diverse slate of U.S. Premiere and feature films in multiple genres, exploring the richness of contemporary and classic cinema highlighting the diversity of French culture.

The 13th edition of the festival announced an exciting lineup of over 20 films, including multiple César nominations and an award-winning selection of short films. The festival is celebrating the Cinema of Québec and present films from Francophone countries with a wide selection of newly released narrative and documentary films.

The 13th edition of the festival honors the illustrious career of the filmmaker CLAUDE LELOUCH whose contributions to cinema are both essential and unforgettable. The legendary director will be at French Institute Alliance Française for the screening of his film “A man and a woman”, starring Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant in a timeless, beautiful, and breath-taking love story.

 

 

 

Our Coup-de-cœur : "Un plus une", Tuesday, March 28 at 4pm

  • CLAUDE LELOUCH will be at FIAF for the screening of his film “Un plus Une”.

Synopsis : Antoine resembles one of the heroes in the films whose scores he composes. He's charming, successful, and goes through life with humor and lightheartedness. When he travels to India to work on an original version of Romeo and Juliet, he encounters Anna, a woman with whom he has nothing in common, but who he finds devastatingly attractive. Together, they'll live an incredible adventure. Starring Academy Award winner Jean Dujardin and directed by the legendary Claude Lelouch, Un plus une is an instant film classic.
